Vaughan is a continuously growing suburb. With a high population, and busy suburban area, there are many famous Vaughan attractions within the area. These attractions are popular amongst residents and tourists.
Canada’s Wonderland
An extremely fun and well known attraction is Canada’s Wonderland. A themed amusement park with multiple rides, games and treats. Wonderland has been a popular Vaughan attraction since 1981. Known for their extremely fast and fun roller coasters such as Leviathan, Behemoth and wood coaster Mine Buster. There are also Psyclone, Drop Tower and Windseeker which are very popular rides.
Wonderland continues to expand and find ways to create new rides and attractions. They offer a Halloween themed “Fearfest” which includes mazes, and people dressed in scary costumes. There are strobe lights and some rides available during this time. Wonderland is also open near Christmas season with a festival of lights around the theme park, hot chocolate and treats, with the opportunity to walk around the park and explore the decorations.
Wonderland has grown to be open for a majority of the year. There are continuous fun attractions and ways to expand their business and amusement park. They host mini concerts, or cultural events to attract tourists and residents as well.
Kortright Centre
The Kortright Centre is a conservation space located in Vaughan. Situated on 325 hectares of land, this stunning area offers education programs and more throughout the year.
With summer camps available for kids (popular with school trips), corporate team building exercises and winter fun activities, there is something for everyone. Kortright Centre can also host weddings, corporate events, and parties. With the facilities to hold a large number of people, this Vaughan attraction is multi-purpose.
McMichael Art Gallery
Founded in the 1960’s, this popular Vaughan museum has been around for decades. Located in a small village of Kleinburg, you can view various art pieces. There are currently over 7,000 art pieces in the museum. Open throughout the week, anybody can pay a small fee to go to the museum and view the art.
Located on a large property of land, in the summer, this museum is breathtaking. There are numerous trails around to go on hikes, or have a picnic and take in the scenery. There is a gift shop with merchandise and educational tools about the art pieces and history. There is also a restaurant where you can order food and drinks to enjoy throughout the day while you are at the museum.
The McMichael Museum can host school trips, corporate events and even weddings. With beautiful grounds and office space, you can book in advance to host the meeting or special day for your and your significant other.
Boyd Conservation Park
This conservation park was founded in 1957. Over large acres of land, this park is located in the Vaughan region and popular for residents to go to. In the summer, Boyd Conservation park is known for its beautiful trails for hiking. Families can also host their summer barbeques or picnics in the park.
Get your run in first thing in the morning, catch up with a friend on a hike, or bring your pet to explore a new area. Boyd Conservation Area hosts day camps within the summer months for young kids to attend. They can play sports, participate in fun activities and become one with the outdoors.

Vaughan Mills Shopping Mall
Vaughan Mills shopping mall is one of the most popular attractions in the city of Vaughan. Opening in 2004, this shopping centre has grown into “Vaughan’s home” in the heart of the suburb. People from other cities travel to come shop at this mall. This mall contains numerous clothing, jewelry, home decor and miscellaneous stores for all your needs. There is a huge food court in the centre with many offerings of a variety of foods, to stop off and take a break during your shopping spree.
When Vaughan Mills opened, they had a mini Go-Kart track outside of the mall and a popular bowling alley as well. They have since grown it into a well visited Legoland which is perfect for young families and children.
You can spend a whole day with the family in this shopping mall. You can get your fix of shopping, attending a fun Legoland adventure, making your own stuffed bear at “Build A Bear”, enjoying a meal at the food court and so much more.
